Crafting Harmonies With Progressive Folk Influences
Dennis' new band, Dennis Pearne and the Elastic Waste Band, is the current incarnation of the band by that name that Dennis has run since the late 1980s, varying from 2 to 11 players at different times. The current configuration consists of Dennis on 6-string, 12-string, vocals, and harp; Lillian Hastie on drums and percussion; and Michael St. Germain on fretless bass. Together, they take contemporary folk music sounds and textures into new and unexpected territories, with a variety of Dennis's original songs, a few carefully chosen covers, and surprising arrangements of traditional songs.

Sophie Rich: A Journey Through Inspiration and Creativity
Performing alongside my talented daughter, Sophie Rich, at the charming Nameless Coffeehouse located in Harvard Square, Cambridge, has been an incredibly rewarding experience. "I've been in show business for 40 years, and my 14-year-old daughter has already left me in the dust..." says Dennis, proudly reflecting on their shared journey in the world of performance. It’s a delightful setting where music and creativity come alive, and Sophie’s exceptional talent shines brightly. For more about her journey and upcoming performances, visit www.sophierich.com.
